Underpinning our whole organisation is the development of life skills through the activities, associated competitions and events which we facilitate. These skills include collaboration, co-operation, compromise, self-presentation, self-confidence, leadership, project-management and time-management.

SGCNZ alumni can be found in all sectors of society, benefiting from these skills which many learnt at an early age.

Over the past 18 years, over 75,000 students have participated in SGCNZ’s Festivals. Each year over 5,500 students participate in the Festivals from schools from decile 1 to 10 nationwide.

We believe that the world of Shakespeare is not just reserved for ‘Shakespeare lovers’ but is a world that can offer amazing opportunities and insights to a wide range of people.
